How to add assets on HouseHood?

It is always nice to have multiple options to do something, the power of choice will give you the freedom to choose the best way that suits your needs and preferences. 

HouseHood provides 3 easy ways to add assets or receipts on this application to fulfill this need.

1. Scan your paper receipts 

This option is most suitable for those most interested in smart and automatic procedures. 

• Open HouseHood and Tap on Scan Receipt 
• Take a picture of the receipt 
• Your receipt will be scanned automatically
• Items will be identified by HouseHood
• Tap on Add for an item
• The primary information will be added by app
• Add additional details such as category, asset's photo, warranty info, and so on (optional)
• Tap on save 
• You can do the exact process for other items
• Tap on Done
  

2. Add your receipts manually

If you prefer to add your receipts on HouseHood, you can choose the manual option in the old fashion way. 

• Open HouseHood and Tap on Scan Receipt 
• Fill out the form manually, and add the primary info 
• You can manually add receipt photo in this section as well (optional)
• Tap on save 
  

3. Scan your receipts from the gallery 

And finally, if you don't have access to the receipt itself, but you have the picture of it on your phone, this option will come in handy for you. 

• Open HouseHood and Tap on Scan Receipt 
• Tap on "Select file."
• Go through your gallery and choose the photo of the receipt
• Tap on Choose
• Your receipt will be scanned automatically
• Tap on Add for an item
• The primary information will be added by app
• Add additional details such as category, asset's photo, warranty info, and so on (optional)
• You can do the exact process for other items
• Tap on save
